Oxford Elementary School

ICM managed the construction of the new Central Elementary School for the Oxford School District in Oxford, Miss. The three-story, 87,000-square-foot elementary school includes three buildings, 43 classrooms, a cafeteria and kitchen, a gymnasium, a library and a media center, as well as outdoor learning areas.

ICM joined the Central Elementary project team during the schematic design phase and immediately implemented a schedule for design and construction to ensure the project finished on time. ICM also provided cost analysis for each design phase and proposed more than $2 million worth of changes to help bring the project back in budget. To ensure the owner received multiple bids from qualified contractors for each trade, ICM managed the bidding process, dividing the project into 14 prime packages and developing the scope of work for each trade contractor. The result was 31 bids by bid day.
